The Krazy Getdown Boys originated in the Marquette Park community on Chicago's Southside in 1992. The Krazy Getdown Boys are one of the more recent emerging groups to become classified as a street gang within the Folks alliance. The Krazy Getdown Boys originated as a neighborhood crew that found it necessary to defend themselves from local street gangs, such as the Satan Disciples and Guess Boys street gangs. The Krazy Getdown Boys began to become more involved on the streets with gang activity and developed a relationship with the Ambrose street gang. It is rumored that some of the founding members of the Krazy Getdown Boys were former or current members of the Ambrose. In any event, the Krazy Getdown Boys and Ambrose spawned a tigh-knit relationship since the organizations birth on streets. The Krazy Getdown Boys were granted membership into the Folks alliance aside the umbrella of the Ambrose. On the streets the Krazy Getdown Boys and Ambrose can be referred to as "1st-Cousins". The Getdown Boys initially established themselves under the leadership of "Hitman G". Under Hitman's leadership, the Getdown Boys began to solidfy their presence in the Marquette Park community. Hitman was later killed by members of a rival gang, which briefly crippled the leadership of the organization. However, soon after the Krazy Getdown Boys began to reassert themselves throughout various Chicagoland suburbs under the leadership of "Lil Seigel". Lil Seigel was incarcerated in more recent events, although, he is presumed to hold his leadership among some sections of the Krazy Getdown Boys. Other sections are said to be under the leadership of "Chief G". In the early millenium, the Krazy Getdown Boys began to grow at a steadfast pace throughout various Chicagoland suburbs and South Chicago neighborhoods. The gang continues to exercise a known presence in their original stronghold in the Marquette Park community along with other South Chicago locales and Chicagoland suburbs. The Krazy Getdown Boys principle rivals are the Satan Disciples, Latin Kings, Party Players, La Raza, Gangster Two-Six, and Latin Counts street gangs.
