During this time, the City Knightz experienced tension and acts of gang intimidation from neighborhood organizations such as the Saints and Satan Disciples street gangs. By 1991, the City Knightz started to organize a well rounded membership, beginning to expand into other area's and solidifying their presence in the community. Shortly after, the City Knightz and Party Players began to have fall-outs and feud as minor diputes and confrontations eventually escalated to a complete neighborhood gang war among the two groups. The City Knightz and Party Players engaged in off-and-on again fights and shootings to protect their turf. While the City Knightz fought against the Party Players on the streets, some tensions eased up on the City Knightz from local street gangs, as the City Knightz focused mainly on their rivalry with the Party Players. The City Knightz earned their reputation significantly from the gang wars against the Party Players, in which many lives were lost. Being that the gangs main rival belonged to the People alliance, the City Knightz opted to established ties to various Folks street gangs. By 1994, members of the City Knightz and Satan Disciples (from 51st & Wood) were able to settle their conflicts and form an allied association. In 1994, the City Knightz were granted membership into the Folks alliance aside the umbrella of the Satan Disciples street gang, as the Insane Gangster City Knightz. As the City Knightz fought along side with the Satan Disciples, the organization began to encounter many more rivals, such as the Gangster Two-Six and La Raza street gangs to name a few. Over the years the City Knightz have grown at a slow pace, however, since the mid 1990's the gang has few chapters in the Chicagoland suburbs that can be considered a significant part of the organizations membership. In 2000, the City Knightz expanded their operations to the vicinity of 58th & Albany on Chicago's Southside which is considered the gangs stronghold today. The City Knightz principle rivals are the Party Players, Saints, Latin Kings, Gangster Two-Six, La Raza, Ambrose, Latin Souls, and Insane Unknowns street gangs.
